Off-road Y that will work with stock manifolds?
I have seen 2 1/2" Y pipes all over the place but they all bolt up behind the stock cats.
Does anyone make an "off road" Y pipe that elminiates the cats and bolts to the stock manifolds/exhaust?
I want to get rid of the bad factory crushed Y pipe and also get rid of the cats at the same time. I plan on keeping my stock manifolds.
Anything available?
This is on a 99 Camaro SS if it makes any difference.
Thanks.

Thunder Racing has a Bassani off road Y-pipe that bolts to stock manifolds for like $230. I`m thinking about using one with a set of Hooker shorty headers.

I have Mufflex race pipes in place of the cats and a SLP Y-pipe in place of the factory one. The mufflex pipes will come out and the stock cats will go back in for emissions tests <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> 45 mins after the test, whooooops! The cats fell off again <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> Time to put the race pipes back on <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
The SLP Y-pipe is a nice piece.

MAC makes one that bolts right in to the exhaust manifolds and runs back to the intermediate pipe. It sounds great and you can just put the stock one back in if you need the cats for inspection or warranty work.
