exhaust leak question

exhaust leak question what would it sound like if i was geting a leak at the headers. because i think the gasket for the headers is bad but how would i know. i get a loud sound when i drive sounds like it comes from right under my dash. gets louder as the rpms go up
Exhaust leaks will usually sound like a ticking. Is it a ticking or ratling sound you hear? If it is a ratling sound it is probably ping which usually sounds like it's coming from under the dash. If it is a tick it's probably an exhaust leak.
