PROBLEM WITH MY HOOKER LONGTUBES???? I was installing my Hooker longtubes last night and everything was going smooth until I got to the driver side header. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />
The 02 bung was installed on the outside of the header towards the door and now the 02 sensor wont go in unless I remove the heatshielding around the fuel lines. I always thought that like the LT1 Hooker longtubes the bungs shoulda been on the inside to avoid this problem. Now without the heatshield in place the sensor goes right in but it is in direct contact with my fuel lines, I dont believe this is safe? Has anyone else experienced this problem??? I am thinking of just getting the bung plugged and when I get my dual exhaust put in having a new bung welded in farther down from the original to compensate for this problem. Your help would be greately appreciated it on this one guys! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

Re: PROBLEM WITH MY HOOKER LONGTUBES???? Ya you usually have to adjust the header some to get the o2 to fit, sucks. BUT they do that so the O2 extention, if put on the inside can rub up against the header and be burned through, but on the outside, its alrdy on the outside and has a very less likely chance of leanin up against the header and getting burned by it. I'd rather have to do a little extra work to ge the O2 on the outside than have a chance of the O2 extention rubbin up against the header.
