Shorty Headers ??

Shorty Headers ?? how come everyone get longtube headers and not shorty headers. I am looking to put some exhaust on my car but i can't justify buying 1200 doller long tubes. I might just get the loudmouth catback and be done with it what would you guys recommend.

Re: Shorty Headers ?? Most buy LTs cause the shorty headers offer little to no gain over stock manifolds on LS1s. Our stock manifolds flow pretty good compared to older small blocks, so unless you’re going to get a mid length or LT then just save your money, IMO.
Re: Shorty Headers ?? I completely agree w/ RPM WS6, and I'm speaking from experience, too. I tried a set of Hooker shorties on my '98 T/A right after they came out, and gained 0 HP on the dyno and saw 0 reduction in ET at the track. My MPH was the same as well, and it's a solid indicator of HP. If you're wanting to get a set of headers that work well and are cheap, then I'd get a set of Macs. The quality isn't as good as the longtubes that are offered, but they perform very well! They're the biggest bang-for-the-buck as far as LS1 headers go.
