SOLID gains from MAF sensors?
SOLID gains from MAF sensors? Just about every car I have seen in my area gained absolutely jack shiyit from any kind of MAF. LS6 mafs, GMAF, etc....Never seen any of them make enough power to justify the price over a used stocker. Input?
Re: SOLID gains from MAF sensors? I ended up cnc porting mine and using a maf translator for tuning and didn't gain much if anything. Dynos can vary and I think I probably gained from the tuning alone since I have 30psi injectors. I also had a slight surging below 2200 rpm so I went back to stock and cured that problem. Re: SOLID gains from MAF sensors? I'll never touch it. I'd buy a Pace MAF but keep my OEM piece, if i wanted to start dicking with it. I don't think it's something we can improve on, really. Just start spending many to mod your way to stock performance, if not worse.

The last time I slapped a set of ported ends on my car I was getting 4 degrees of knock ALL ACROSS the board in every gear at WOT <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> . Definately won't do that again.
I mainly started this thread because my MAF has went south and I just can't justify spending 150+ bucks for something that isn't gonna give me any power.
