Default Hesitation a 3000rpm

Needs some info regarding a problem I experience when accelerating. Whenever I get on it somewhat hard I get to about 3000-3500rpm and then feel a cut in power for a second and then it goes away and continues to pull ahead like the normal LS1 should. Any ideas or thoughs? I have a stock '01 SS with no mods.....Yet!! :-)

I have the same problem in my 1999 Trans Am. I posted over at LS1.com and didn't get any clear answer. Someone has to know about this.

Soory for the lack of car info. I have a '01 SS with 4spd auto. It currently has about 25000 miles and problem started around 20000. I have not performed any mods other than K&N air filter. I have tried getting the tranny flushed. Injectors cleaned, and swapped O2's but still having the problem. Hope this helps......

I hve the same problem on my 2000 M6 SS. It gets to 5000 stops pulling for a second and then pulls again at 5300. Dont have autotap so i dont know what is going on. I have reason to beleive that this problem is comming from my exhaust system being stock still with the little intake mods that i have done but I could be wrong

Mods

Pulley
airbox
4.10
ported MAF
flowmaster muffler
TB bypass
160 degree therm

Have you checked all of your plug wires to be sure that none of them are damaged or not completely connected? Tq. mgt. only happens on the shifts.

All of my wires are fine and the plugs also. I will check again just to make sure that they are. I thought that torque management only applied to A4's

****, I had that prob in my car but I also had a bigger convert then stock, and my prob was torque managmant. So I had to get my car tuned. Since you have no mods yet take it to the dealer and tell them to fix it. If they say they can find the prob. Then tell one of the service managers or a tech on a road test with you. If they dont fix it or cant find the prob within 3 times. They have to give you a brand new car under the lemon law. Dont let them jack you around. If you have anymore question post them. I am a tech at Audi. So tell me what they say I am curious to what they have to say.

If you have anymore probs look at This and see if they match up and if they do. They have to replace it for free. Just make sure you print out the tsb # and everything.

Those TSB's dont look like they have anything to do with the problems that the both of us stated above. If I am wrong could you please point me to the correct one that comes the closest to the problem. Thanks

So you think it could either be the torque managment set too low (Please explain)? Can I adjust this myself? Or do you think it needs to be tuned? Either way does the dealer cover that under warranty seeing as it only has 25000miles on it? If not please let me know so I can save $$$ and have it done at a friendly mechanic's shop I trust with my car... BTW, where is the hybird section??????? Thanks guys!!!!

When my car was stock, I never experienced anything like what you were describing. After I had the aftermarket converter put in, THEN the problems started happening. I knew they would happen and knew that if I wanted to get rid of it, I'd have to have the car programmed and have Tq. Management removed. It's not something you can do yourself, unless you have LS1Edit. So your best bet is to take it back to a dealer, describe the problem and see what they can do.

If they try to tell you there isn't a problem, take one of the service writers for a ride to SHOW THEM the problem.
Good luck. Hope you get it all taken care of.
