Short belt clearance issues???
I installed the short belt on my 2000 Z28 M6 today and noticed the belt was pretty close to the lower alternator bolt. I got under the car and checked it out and its a little too close for comfort. Has anyone else had this problem, if so..what was the remedy??? I was thinking of putting a 1.5" or longer bolt in with a shim on it that with any luck would work as a roller, if not just a smooth surface for the belt to rub on if it did tighten up and hit it. TIA

Re: Short belt clearance issues???
Just remove the bolt. Mine has been out for over a year now. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
