How do you cut off the plastic post that holds the MAF electronics in place?

How do you cut off the plastic post that holds the MAF electronics in place? I installed ported ends, and left the post in, for now. I was afraid if I cut it incorrectly, it would mess up the wires.

The headers have me running a little rich, even w/ the screen removed. I found the ends in classified, so I figured "what the hell".

Re: How do you cut off the plastic post that holds the MAF electronics in place? They were showing rich by about .2-3., if I recall correctly. I forget now which side of the .890-.900 shows rich, but I remember that was it. The logs are on my laptop, which isn't here.
