Headers I was looking to get the Mac Headers with Off-Road Y-Pipe for my 2001 camaro. I found them for a good price at www.ls1speed.com . The only problem is that it says it needs a certain something to fit '01, anyone know what extra I need to get for these headers to work with my 2001. I also know to get stage8 bolts and new header gaskets from the factory.

Re: Headers Matt, they are probably talking about the AIR tubes that come off the headers.The 99-2000 models flange is turned 90 deg from the angle of the 01-02s , but LS1speed sells the year specific Mac headers which will prevent you from having to get anything extra. I think they are on back order still. You can use the 99-2000 headers and just cut the AIR tube , turn it and resolder it or buy some new 99-2000 tubes from the factory. There is also an air block off plate kit that you may want to get. Most people drill a small hole to restrict the flow and this prevents a very annoying sound that is created with this set-up.I would wait for the year specific headers so you don't have to use an EGR block off plate.Our 01s doesn't have an EGR set up on the headers. Hope this helps.
