Because he specifically asked what the average gain would be with a heads and cam install. Let's say the ported heads give you 15 - 30 rwhp. There isn't a cam out there that is going to give you 70 rwhp by itself.
Heads, an aggressive cam, and full bolt-ons w/tuning will get you your ~100 rwhp.

Re: What the average gain from.... Blake I'm not here to step on your toes, nor disrespect your intelligence. Yes the title of the ? does say average. But the ? is so broad that why not shoot for the stars. Get a stage 3 porting work on a pair of LS6 heads and a solid roller cam? Think that 120 RWHP increase with that combo could be attained in addition to the bolt-ons you mentioned?

Re: What the average gain from.... My H/C job for A4 was about 70 HP increase. ET wise with good traction have come down 7 tenths. With some fine tunning, I think it will come down so more. My car has never been ATAP, just run. Good luck.
