Pillar gauges installation question...
Pillar gauges installation question... I'm thinking of adding some pillar gauges but just got done reassembling my engine after a H/C swap and am not wanting to tear into it extensively again.
My question is: Where would/have those who've done the gauges tap into the engine for the water temp and oil pressure? How much time is involved, etc?
Any info is appreciated.

Re: Pillar gauges installation question... Water: on the front drivers side of the head is the stock CTS, the passenger side has it in the same location (yep, you guessed it, right back there with #8!) I'm looking for an alternate location.
Oil: If you look right above the oil filter, there's a housing attached with 2 bolts. This part on the vette already has a tap for an oil line. You can either drill your's out and run a tap or you can order the vette piece that is ready to go!

Re: Pillar gauges installation question... With my Autometer oil psi gauge, it came with a new sender that screwed in where the stock one went... but that was on a L98 engine. Don't know enough about the LS1 yet <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
