we got a problem?!?!?
My friend and I decided to take off my stock y-pipe that the cats are connected to. I wanted to hear how my car sounded with somewhat offroad sound, (Open Headers). Well we got it off and everthing was okay, we tied up the 02 sensors so they werent hanging. My car was soooooo LOUD!!! it was unbelievable. well when we took off the ypipe, he broke two bolts on the manifold. I took my car to the track yesterday with open headers. On the way up there i got so many looks, and on the way back. It sounds like a nascar. I hate it at low rpms but its sounds fat as hell at WOT!!! So i decided to go ahead and order the mac y-pipe with offroads. Hoping Speed Inc. would have some in stock so i could just put those on and not have to put the stock one back on, well i wont be getting them for a week, so we just put the stock one back on and i have a leak because of the two bolts that broke when we took it off. How do you get the bolts out??? should i take it to a muffler shop and have them use a torch and have them heat up my manifold?? how much will that cost. I figure i will just deal with the little leak until i get the mac offroad ypipe, and have them install it when they take the bolts out. Will mac ypipe fit borla catback?? is there any difference in size??? And besides if its too loud i can always put the full plate on my adjustable borla!!!! thanks!

Well, if you're gonna take off the manifolds, you might as well order the mac headers also. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Could i do this myself???

I have ran headers in race cars.... but people say that you can burn a valve when running a stock exhaust manifold uncapped... I am not sure if it will really happen but ya might want to watch this!!
