Default Powerstick or keep bullet...

Well, once again, my Tahoe is starting to **** me off, and I wanna get back into the go-fast world...If i get a t/a this summer, I will most likely start with a lid, LS6 intake, and then a catback...I was thinkin about the TSP rumbler because I heard its loud, but not as raspy as the loudmouth...My question is this..would it be louder if I replaced the bullet with a Powerstick, or should I keep the bullet? This will most likely be on stock manifolds for a while, unless i find a good deal on long tubes...If not, long tubes will come either christmastime or summer 2008, pending how much I work during my college school year....

I finally got my CME tips installed today. I used a Loudmouth exhaust and had the resonator replaced with a Medium 3" powerstick. I haven't driven it yet, so I'll let you know what I think of it. It did sound louder at idle and when my brother was revving the hell out of it. He took it to the muffler shop and it's been sitting at my house.

louder at idle than stock or the loudmouth? Were the revs louder than the loudmouth? I know long powersticks are kind of deep, but I heard that the short powersticks are the loudest, so if ur medium is louder than the loudmouth, then hot damn I can't wait to get my car and put the short one on...

If you are dead set on those mods why not install as is and if you don't like it change it.

Seems kinda silly to not be sure how something is and already start hacking it up.

It was louder at idle and revving than the loudmouth. Not way noticeable just a bit. If I could get a decent soundclip I'd post it.

I went with the medium because I didn't want it to be way louder. I was mainly looking for a different tone.

I know what you mean...thats why I want people's input on which one they think...I've heard soundclips of both, and I really like the powerstick tone, but I just want to know which is louder, so I know I made the right decision if I do hack it up...

Well, I drove my car to work today and I don't really notice much of a difference when i'm in the car. They do sound a little louder than the loudmouth when I was outside of the car. I'm pretty sure the shorter version will be noticeably louder. I'd say go for it.

Go with at least a medium Powerstick, it has a better tone. If you are going to go short you may as well keep the bullet. I have a short one and it doesn't sound much different than the original LM.
