Blue smoke?

Blue smoke? Guys I know that this probably is not the right forum to ask this question in but I need your help.
I have a 2002 Silverado with 5.3 Engine. When I let the truck Idle for about 5-10 Minutes and shut it off. If I immediately restart the engine say within 20 seconds after I shut off the key when I restart I see bluish black smoke sortive smells like oil and gas burning is this normal or should I be alarmed. I have no cats. on the truck and I am using O2 Simulators to fool the computer.
The truck has 3222 miles on it. I just performed its first oil change and I used Mobil 1 full synthetic 10w-30 motor oil.
If after it has idled for say 5 mins if you rev the engine you can smell and see the same results comming out of the exhaust pipes.
Has any of you ever heard of this?
I forgot to mention at the oil change my truck had used about 12-14 Oz of oil? Is this good or bad.

Re: Blue smoke? I don't belive valve seals would leak that fast... unless you just don't have any. Without cats its hard to say. How much smoke is it? Does it continue for any length of time? It may not be anything to be concerned about. I see cars on the dyno putting out black smoke all the time. It's most likely just the excess fuel from startup that is getting burned. Normally the cats would mask this effect especially when they are already at operating temp. Keep track of your oil consumption for the next couple of changes...

Re: Blue smoke? I checked the seals...everything seems to be fine. I then went through each individual cylinder and found that when one was not operating there was no smoke. I am now goin to look into it further. I just know that the second one up on te passenger side seems to be the problem area.
Re: Blue smoke? well.. if the PCV system on the trucks is anything like the F-body.. it's oil coming in from the TB/PCV. Since synthetic is thinner that dino oil.. it will make the problem worst.
