Default FTRA vs BG/ram air

I know there has been a lot of talk between the ftra and fipk.

What is the consenus between the ftra and the BG/ram air on a WS6.

Educated guesses welcome.

Thanks. Scott 00 WS6 M6.

When you bought your WS6 you basically paid an extra $3000 for a hood and wheels. Why not make use of that hood? That’s how I looked at it.

The BG kit is extremely high quality. It’s been on my car for over a year now, and it still looks like new. Brian Greene is also one of the best guys you’ll ever deal with. His customer service is top notch

I recommend the BG kit to anyone and everyone with a WS6. FTRA is nice too, and if you had anything but a WS6 I would say to get it, but for a WS6 the ONLY option should be BG ram air

I run something simular to both. I have both sets of baffles out of my hood, and I run a Whisper Ram Air. More air is better

I agree more air is better. Which do you believe will allow the most air in?

I'll take a guess with the FTRA, only because it seem's the air is being pushed up through the filter while the BG/Ram air will slow the air flow down as the air come's in through the front. (The air still has to follw the same path through the filter). So wouldn't it make sense to ram the air in through the bottom?

Well.. the air from the FTRA style system will pick up more air.. but on hot days the air from the "notrils" will be cooler.

My suggestion is to start off with whichever one you like best first, then plan to get the other down the road.

umm.. I've went almost 115 mph in the quarter with a stock motor in an A4 No turbulence problems here More Air is better IMO.

WILWAXU-
When I bought my FTRA 2 yrs ago, I was told that you MUST block off the front intake inlet in order to NOT create a "turbulance".
They said that the two together coudl actually make you run worse due to the turbulance.
