Smell w/out cats

i put lts with an ory and im curious what type of smell i am smelling? I smell like a oilie smell i think it is im not sure tho if thats normal or what.

it's normal, just buring the coating on the new pipes. like a new car smell.

no i have like 3k miles on them, i deleted egr and air also. Am i buring oil? or is this a normal smell w/o cats

My coated lt's and ory smelled for about a week total----500 miles or so---then went away.

well that info would have been helpful. I didn't have an egr so i don't no what could relate to that but i didn't have any smell from removing my air lines. might want to let a shop look at it.

im nto smoking or burning oil if any i might use a tiny bit but nothing to be worryed about with a car that has 90k miles on it.Jw if my valves are bad?

There is a period of time to burn/cure the coating off everything. But you're going to smell dirty exhaust, the reason they put cats on everything is to clean up the gasses that come out of the tail pipes. Without the catalytic converter you get no conversion of the exhaust gasses.

it shouldnt smell like burning oil period. the smell you guys are talking about the good smell is unburnt fuel and **** thats bad for the ozone!!! lol i have know idea what your smelling. If it smells like an old muscle car your okay...if it smells like burning oil get it checked out, or have some one from a speed shop smell it

Pretty normal to have a smell without cats, if there was nothing wrong with the car before the LTs im sure your ok. Dont take it to a shop they will charge you some stupid amount of money and not even tell you anything.
