Default AIR pump removal on 00-02's?

Seems like the newer F-bodies have this little thing that's bolted to the back of the driverside head that's part of the AIR pump. I removed mine the other day and found that there's a line that goes from that thing somewhere. I didn't see where that line mounts up and i got a vaccum leak now....Can someone please tell me if they blocked off where that line went after removing the air pump? Also where exactly is it located?

Thanks

Not sure how much you have taken off. It eventually plugs into the back of the intake, near the a/c vac & MAP sensor. If that part is left open, you'll have a vacuum leak.

I believe it runs from the AIR distribution block on the back cylinder head to a small box near the fuel rail, which has another vacuum line presumably running to the back of hte intake, and an electrical connection. I just removed the line from the AIR distribution thing from the black box, and put a vacuum cap ($1.99 from autozone for a package of about 8 various sizes) over it to plug it.

Ok seeing that write up now, I've got a question. How do you get the bracket out from the inner fender well down below that the AIR pump itself mounts to? I found the 4 bolts and removed them, but could not get it to budge. So I removed the pump from the bracket itself instead, and just left the bracket be in the AIR compartment, since I couldn't figure out what was still holding that bracket in place.

Are there 4 or 6 bolts on that thing? If I remember, maybe there are 4 bolts that face the rear, and 2 that go upward. (It has been a while since I have done it) I could be wrong (and maybe different on different years (I know 99's have a diff pump than the one on that write up)

It should come right out, when I took the bolts out, it just fell out.

There were 4 facing up from what I could see, and what it looks like in this pic.

It looks like that's all there is, but I'll be damned if the thing didn't feel like it was bolted in elsewhere. I gave it some good yanks, enough that the bracket started to bend, and it wouldn't budge. Gave up because I was afraid of breaking something. Oh well, just an extra 1-2 lbs to lug around.

Take of the plastic inner fender cover and you can see better and have more room to work with. Unless you have already done that

4 bolts took mine off. I also used a screw with some silicon caulk on it to seal off the vacuum line.
