On a stock internal motor, ported TBs are worth ~4-5rwhp. Once you add heads/cam, we have seen upwards of 8rwhp.

I have a Thunder Racing ported TB on my car and I picked up 6rwhp over an ALREADY ported TB.

Here was the dyno graph:

I take it you guys have not heard about Mark Shaner's S2 Throttle Body. This is the most awesome mod that I have done to my car besides my cam. I put it in before my cam and I swear, it felt like I had just put a cam in my car. I have heard that it is dynoing something like 6-8 hp over a MMS TB, which dynos 8-10 hp over stock TB on internally stock engines, that's a huge gain guys. He's e-mail is m.shaner@worldnet.att.net. If you go in the Texas forum on LS1.com he posts as Shaner, and you will see all the posts on his TBs from people that own his TBs.

The S2 has a little bit more port/polish work, as well as an epoxy fill in the PCV/whatever indention.

The throttle response/hp gain from Shaner's work is amazing for only being a throttle body port job, simply amazing...I have one on a Vette and one on an Fbody, extremely happy with them.
