Is GMMG too loud???

The only way for you to really know is to hear it yourself...I think it is the perfect volume...others think it is ridiculously loud.
Oh, one more thing...The GMMG sounds way better than the Borla does! A lot deeper and no rasp.

I appreciate everyone's input; I've learned quite a lot from the posts on this site. Almost two weeks ago, I took delivery of an '02 Z28 (my third Camaro to date, the other's were '73RS and '89 IROC) and have put some of that knowledge to good use.
I agree that the GMMG sounds great from what I've heard when watching .mpg files or listening to .wav files. I'm also not too concerned with the horsepower difference between this and any other brand. A few horsepower here and there is just for bragging rights. It's what you do with it that counts. Personally, I'm stuck between the GMMG unit and the B&B. My only concern would be drone inside the car. Is it (the GMMG) any worse than any other cat-back? Do you have to turn up the radio just to hear it or yell at a passenger so they can hear you? I'm going to have a child riding in the back and although I like the sound of the GMMG, I don't want him to suffer. Yes, I've thought about buying earplugs or aviation headphones for the little one. Unfortunately, my girl friend didn't much care for that idea. Go figure.

If you are concerned about your childs hearing then you need to keep the exhaust stock. I have a 99T/A with FLP LT's/ORP's thru a 3" Flowmaster collector and a 18" bullet with a Corsa behind it and it scares the hell out of my kids and some adults. It's loud but the tone is real low with a nice rumble at idle, at WOT it will wake the dead. Kids come first if they are in the car.

I have a GMMG and with the stock manifolds and cats it is not very loud. My 3 year old rides in the back and it is not loud (kids always come first). We talk and neither of us come even close to yelling.
I'm sure this system would be loud with headers and off-roads. With cats in it will not be that loud. It rumbles nice

Regards,
When you get on it the GMMG is louder inside but it goes back to normal once you are cruising. hope it helps. you won't be dissapointed with either one.
How does the GMMG compare to the LoudMouth?

I don't know how many other ways to say this but there really is no comparison between these two systems. The LM sounds a lot like a cutout while the GMMG has a wondefuly deep tuned note to it at WOT.
