Did you jack the motor up a little bit with the jack and a block of wood, or phonebook under the oil pan like i said? i cant see any trouble putting it in from the bottom with the oil filter, steering, drainplug all that removed. point the collector down to the ground, or at an angle, try it all then just push it up in there wiggle it around, pull the collector towards you/back of the car. it should pop right up in there, especially with the motor jacked up a hair to the passenger side.
I wish i was there to assist, just too far away

Hey Firebirdman - If you need to lift the motor - In that last picture the big nut, on the motor mount, I think it's an 18mm. That's the one you need to remove. Then pull that bolt out towards the front, might have to pull the alternator to get it out. You can then jack up the ds of the motor. You won't hurt any thing by just undoing one side.

Did you try unhooking the tranny and raising the *** end of the motor up a bit?

Good Luck...

Jeez you have a crap load more space to work with than I did, I'd play with moving the motor up and down, disconnect the transmission mount center bolt and wiggle that engine/transmission up and down with a jack and it should slide in by this point.

loosen up the 4 15mm bolts that bolt the cast iron pedestal to the k member. Slide the header into place, then without bolting the header up..let the engine back down and bolt the pedestal up.

This will allow you to get enough room to maneuver the header around to retighten the mounts, but still gets the header past the linkage and such.

I ended up having to take the motor mount off and jack the engine up about 2 inches with the valve cover off too get it in. The fitment is great, but the collectors are so far apart, that's what gave me the trouble.....Now it is time to put on the Y-Pipe and spark plugs......and more lol

awesome! clearance once everything is back on is what counts, your mounts might be alittle wore making thats why u maybe needed to lift the engine.

either way once everything is bolted up and there is no problems thats what counts!!

anyway good luck, I am going to finished mine tonight so I can drive it tomorrow maybe for a custom y-pipe to me bad.

I have the passengers side plugs, both coil packs, and wires and it should be ready for a 4am start up, lol.

i am charging my battery to make sure I have plenty cranking power just in case it doesnt want to start.

1,3,5,7 are easy from up top with the coil pack off i snap them on the plugs first, one click is all u need. 2 clicks for the coils.

2,4,6 up top with coil pack off. 8 u put in the plug from the bottom as well as the wire.

i kept stock wires 360-380 ohms. i went with new a/c delcos the same as you. for 14k miles my plugs were alittle bit done.

I got my Pacesetters in no prob, without cutting the tab off. I just put all four corners on jack stands as high as I could. Then installed it at an angle from the side of the car, instead of just trying to shove them up there from underneith square.
