Another Lid Question

Another Lid Question I found a lid, and have another question that
relates to the air hose that comes off the
stock silencer & loops all around the engine
compartment to some passenger side air tube.
Guy I got the lid from, capped his hose with a
little aftermarket PCV breather filter looking
thing. I was thinking of instead going for an
inside-the-lid breather (to keep stock hose
intact) and solvent-welding on a little ABS
plastic "donut" for reinforcement of whatever
breather filter / bung I can find. Then again,
eliminating 6-8' of fat hose and putting one
of these little breather deals right by the
(check valve?) is a not-so-bad option.
What have you guys done with the air hose?
Part refs for breather filters that fit nice
and unobtrusive?
