Ctas! ? is it possible for me to cut off my catalytic converters and replace them with piping? if so will i have any error messages or dummy lights turn on, etc?

You can remove them, but will fail visual inspection if they do that where you live. You can use o2 sims or tune out the rear o2 codes to prevent an SES light.
After removing the cats, the car fumes will smell different like it's getting too much gas. The car will be a bit louder, and you will gain a few HP.

They're expensive. Some people put a spark plug fouler into the exhaust and then put the rear o2s into the foulers. They get enough heat to work, but not enough exhaust to set a code. Easiest/best thing to do is find somoeone to tune them out for you.

This is what some people do. Worth considering... It allows the plug to be heated normally, but prevents it from detecting emissions. It's cheaper than sims, and it pretty easy. Still best to tune it out though.
