Default Indexing spark plugs....

i know what it is....just which way do you want the plug pointing in our cars? which way do you want the tip pointing? thanks

You want the tip of the outside (ground) electrode pointing down toward the piston. As long as they are within a 90 degree downward arc you will get the benefits of indexing.

ok i know what indexing is, but, how do you do it, it not like we got alot of room down in there to see what im doing....

Wrap a piece of masking tape around the plug socket, make a mark 180 degrees opposite the tip of the outside electrode. Line the mark up so that it points upward when torqued. Trial and error.
