The area around the oil filter looks like it was precast for some like a cooler connection.

Re: OIL COOLERS I read on one of the LS1 web sites about someone having done the remote oil cooler/ filter update but I'll be darned if I can remember where. Do a search on the various sites on the subject(s) and I am sure you will locate it. There is also a company that makes remote oil filter adapters and coolers for the aftermarket but I can't think of that name either. I thought I had that name bookmarked but...
