Shhhhhhh Whisper lid question

Shhhhhhh Whisper lid question Ok I got a whisper lid from some one and its blank it doesnt say LS1 or anything like the other I have seen are there some out there like that or did I get ripped off. Also it doesn fit quite right I installed it just fine then when it came down to snaping the clamps the would stay shut so I had to tuck the front of the lid on the inside of the lower air box lip is this how it is supposed to be??? Can some one please please take a picture of there whisper lid up close the front and scan it in so I can see if mine is done right.

Alot of people have trouble with them the first time... remember that the front lip goes inside the little groove in front lower air box.

Re: Shhhhhhh Whisper lid question You think the Whisper Lid was a Pita to install, try MTI's POS lid. After lying about it being in stock three weeks later I was told it was on back order. The collar doesnt seal worth a crap and the fit is worse and it is really flimsy. The Whisper CF lid that I replaced it with is great, even though you have to tuck the front just like the other ones.

Re: Shhhhhhh Whisper lid question Here's a pic of my carbon fibre Whisper lid, some times the LS1 emblem tends to peel of of the Whisper lids or even many people take them off and do custom stickers or just leave them black. Re: Shhhhhhh Whisper lid question The only lid that I've had luck with is the MTI lid. I broke two Whisper lids from being flimsy and not fitting right, and the Direct Flo didn't fit all that great. I've had two different MTI lids, and both of them have fit excellent.
The LS1 decal that comes on the Whisper lid can be peeled off, so it's probably what the guy said, just without the decal.
