Paging "GeorgeC", Crankcase Evac Pump Info Needed Hi George, I am very interested in your crankcase evac. system. I am sick of my current PCV "fix" and believe there is power to be found in a crankcase evac pump. How big is the pump?? Is there room for two with one wired to a WOT switch? How much vac. are you pulling at WOT?? Where did you get that pump?? Any info is greatly appreciated...

Re: Paging "GeorgeC", Crankcase Evac Pump Info Needed Damn, I guess I need to pay more attention... I haven't been around here too much lately, as I'm still waiting for my new engine, and just haven't been in much of a "car mood" lately.
Anyway, the setup I have came from a company in Tennessee, and was originally designed for alcohol dragsters (for removing moisture, etc from the crankcase). It's basically a modified AIR pump (looks exactly like the stock one on our cars), and is just plumbed in to two valvecover breathers, and out to a breather tank. I don't really have any real data on how well it works, since I blew my car up the first time I tried it at the track.
I never got a chance to check vacuum at WOT, but it does pull a lot @ idle. So much that it was very difficult to pull the oil filler cap off due to the vacuum. I'm sure a mechanical pump would work better, but would be a major PITA to rig up.
