Default Idle problems...

When I have my A/C on my car's idle surges alot! I idle at 500 normally and have an ST3500 in the car. If I'm not careful the car will stall out if the air is on and I shift out of park for example. It goes from 500 up to 1,000 and drops down to 450is and then back to 1,000 and it keeps doing this like it has a CRAZY cam in it!!!
Please help, summer is around the corner.

I have had simialar problems..
My throttle blade hole is drilled to 15/64"
I have added a .022" shim on top of the idle
set screw.. I made a clip to fit around
the mechanism that moves up by pulling the cable
or pushing on the gas.. You use this to change
the engine speed when working on car in engine
bay.. If you make the shim to big you will get
codes of high idle.. This is what they call
the 'Trooper Mod' I think .022" is 26 ga tin.

The same thing happened to me after I installed a converter. I just gave the set screw on the pass.-side of the throttle body a turn, and my idle was bumped up to 625 RPM. You'll have to pull the TB off since the head of the screw faces down; it's a torx head. Give it a turn, bolt it back on, and fire it up. It'll be trial and error until you get it where ya want.

I like the screw idea. Bumping the idle completely solved the problem?

Paulie came up with a cool idea... Took the hex head and kind of taped it into a wrench... Voila! Don't have to take the TB off to adjust it.
