Installing a 160* t-stat any tips I need to know about?

Installing a 160* t-stat any tips I need to know about? I have installed ton's of them in other engines but not in a LS1, is there any tricks I should know about besides the basics? I know to drain the radiator and all and to use the dex cool 50-50 with water but is there any other tips? I keep hearing about air could be trapped in the lines and cause it to over heat?

Re: Installing a 160* t-stat any tips I need to know about? iF YOU THINK YOU still have air trapped after warming car up, shut off motor and let it cool down, then refill radiator and get it hot again with cap off. This will usually purge air pockets when coolant condenses.
