Cold Air Mods I just read an article in July issue of Super Chevy where they put a few mods on a SS Camaro. The put on a slp air lid, temp sensor plug in, cold air kit and a 85mm MAF. I have an 02 Ram Air and was wanting to do a few of the mods except the 85mm MAF. I was wanting to know if the cold air kit will help my car? The article say it will complement the ram air but a few of my fellow f-body buddies blocked off the front their air boxes. Is the kit worth the extra money or should I use the money for something else. Also I heard the 02 LS1 cars have a 85mm MAF, is this true?

-I've heard mixed answers about the MAF being stock or not, cant help you there <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
-I would run the cold air kit, of the Fast Toys Ram Air kit, from out sponser Fast Toys. Some people choose to block off the front of the airbox when using these types of cold air kits, and some leave it open. With a Pontiac, I'd knock the screens in the nostrils out and leave the front of the airbox open. Or track test, make a couple runs with the front of the airbox open, and a few with it sealed, and compare the trap speeds.
