Re: LS6 intake question You won't show much of a HP increase w/ just bolt-ons, but it will make a difference once you swap cams out. As for TX emissions, all they do for the OBDII cars is hookup to the PCM and scan for codes. If you have ANY codes stored, then you'll automatically fail. You'll have to have the EGR deleted from your PCM so that it doesn't throw a code. Otherwise you won't pass inspection.

Re: LS6 intake question I didn't dyno my car yet with the LS6 intake, but I can tell you my car picked up some top end power judging by my trap speed gains. I still have the stock cam.
before: best of 107.5 - 108.0 mph
after: best of 109.0 - 109.5

LS6 intake question Do you think I should get a LS6 intake without running a aftermarket cam? Will I pick up enough to justify the cost? I will be doing a cam in the future.
Also I want to be able to pass TX emissions so what all do I need to get?
