If you have AutoTap it would help out a lot. The reason that some see a loss of power from the HPP3 tuning is because they're getting detonation. The HPP3 can add up to 4 degrees of timing (it did on my '98 T/A with the non-RFG tuning), and if you're running the stock t-stat, lower octane gas, etc., then it will actually hurt you.

Re: ??HPP3??
Friday night I was messing w/shift points, and just for $hits and giggles I tried the power programming and picked up an honest 1 MPH (new best).
I have the stock t-stat and used 93 oct. gas. Next time I'll try making a few runs and return to stock and see if I slow down or not.

Re: ??HPP3??
My personal exp. with my LT1 was no improvement at the track at all. My track bubbies have seen no improvement in MPH with their LS1s either. Good for turning on fans, gear changes, rev limiter.

??HPP3??
Allright the main reason that I am buying the programmer is to fix my speedo. But while I am at it I want to use the power programming for the hp. Some have told me that they have had very good gains with it and some say that they have had no gains with it at all. Can anyone tell me if they picked up any E.T. or mph.

Does anyone know the difference between RFG and non-RFG tuning? Which will give me more power assuming I won't encounter KR?

i think the RFG/non-rfg stuff is talking about Reformulated gas. Us here in WI have that shitty RFG gas that does nothing but cause problems so if you know you dont' ahve that type of gas, or run a bit of 100 octane, run the non-rfg tuning keep an eye on autotap and see how the car is running then too.
