The electric cutouts are placed after the catalytics and simply bypass the muffler. No emissions levels are changed.
Our sponsor, QTP sells them.
They look similar to a throttle body blade, you flip a switch and the cutout opens up and bypasses the muffler. This works great for those of us that prefer quiet cars for daily-driving and want it free-flowing when someone wants to run.

Verdad Gallardo Re: Electronc cutout Get the single 3" cutout for your stock TA. Dual cutouts are more required on high hp setups that can afford to lose some torque from having the exhaust open so close to the motor.
