Y-pipe Coatings/Paint?

Y-pipe Coatings/Paint? I'll be installing SLP LT's soon. I've noticed in pictures the the y-pipe, even though it's stainless, can sometimes show a little bit of surface rust. Has anyone painted or coated theirs? This would be strictly for appearance. I don't need ceramic, just a nice flat grey that holds up to high temps. I know I've seen a guy do this on one of the boards.

Re: Y-pipe Coatings/Paint? I would suggest you have them ceramic coated. Its really not expensive. It keeps the temps down under the hood, its nice and shiny, and it protects from rust longer. Mine are coated and they've been on the car a little over a year now.

Re: Y-pipe Coatings/Paint? Are you refering to the headers? Those are already coated. I was wondering about the y-pipe. The y-pipe shouldn't need ceramic because it's not under the hood.

A little tip, black was nice, if you missed the exhaust it really does not show under the car.
