I posted this over at ls1.com, but no has replyed yet. Here is the problem im having; I just installed my hooker y-pipe to my hooker longtubes, and with my loudmouth catback, im getting the most horrible raspy sound. My homemade custom y-pipe didn't sound all that bad though. UM? Anyways, i bought a 1 chamber delta flow flowmaster today to replace the slp resonator thats currently on the loudmouth. Has anyone done this? Will it sound good? more lopey? will it fit? Thank You....

I haven't heard of anyone doing this yet. Normally people replace the resonator with a Dynomax bullet muffler or something similar. The flowmasters tend to generate alot of heat which may not be a good thing in that location...

Might sound nice... Certainly right now your car sounds like open headers practically and I don't like that raw sound on our cars.

I sure hope this 1 chamber flowmaster does the trick. I'll let you all know what happens...

Funny, but I just installed my Hookers and I have the loudmouth. In my case though, the rasp that was so annoying at highway speeds went away. The car at idle and while cruising has an old fashiioned muscle car rumble. However, when I get on it, it is absolute music to my ears. All hell breaks loose and it does sound like it is on open headers. I thought that was great, but then again I probably have watched too many top fuelers without earplugs. <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" />

Only other thing I can add is that I have heard a cammin' A4 with short dual exhaust with two one-chamber flows and it sounded mean and it was hella loud.
