Raspy sound on Borla is GONE!!! well after hearing other people talk about it and almost 3 years of listening to it i finally went out and did something about it!! I went down on my lunch break and bought a dynomax bullet muffler (3" in/out and 18" long) and then went down to a muffler shop and had them weld it into my intermediate pipe right after the Y. Well guess what, the rasp from 2200-2800 is GONE!! damn that is just awesome!! I have mac headers & ORY-pipe with the borla catback and i love the way it sounds even more now!! i spent 35 for the muffler and 20 to have it installed... damn good mod!! just thought i would share.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Re: Raspy sound on Borla is GONE!!! It’s hard to find shops that will work on cars with no cats. I think that keeps a lot of people from doing this unless they know of a place.
My SLP 2OTL rasps very little with an ORY so I'm not too concerned with it.

that did give me a good idea though... i will take the camcorder and record the car tonight before we begin the heads/cam install so we can hear the difference...

The car in the video had a Thunder 224 cam, and he has since added GTP heads.
My new exhasut will have 2 bullets in the y-pipe and Borla out back.

Re: Raspy sound on Borla is GONE!!! I did the same thing to my exhaust except I have the Corsa system, sounds much better, no rasp and the tone is real low and deep.
