horsepower on vacation? just got my z28 about 3 weeks ago. the original owner who modded the car had a folder with reciepts on everything done to the car. the car dyno'd 384 rwhp but had a 6 speed transmission in it at the time. now the car has a th350 with a 3400 stall. i dyno'd it last week and it only put down 236 rwhp. also raced a friends ws6 m6 with slp cat backs. he skull drug me about 4 car lengths. where did my power go? is the auto that parasitic? this is my first ls1 so im open to all info. thanks.
The auto tranny will rob some power but not 150rwhp. Any LS1 that dynos 236rwhp has some major issues. How does the car run? Does it miss or anything? At 384 w/ a TH350 and 3500 stall you should pull buses on WS.6 with only a catback. It should be in the 11's. Did it run better when you got it? I would be paying the guy you bought it from a visit. If it is modded how he said it is and is truly putting down 236rwhp he unloaded his problem on you.
any ses codes if the maf or somthing was bad it would pull timing.but yeah as stated above you got problems.stock auto cars lay down anywhere from 285 up.take it somewhere and have it scanned

There is something seriously wrong with that car .. Check throttle body/Plugs/Wires ... go over your basics. Stock LS1's throw down 310 to the wheels -- 350 break HP .
Maybe the seller stripped the modded parts out and put stock **** in there, maybe you got screwed ..
Even if stock parts, you still got problems ..
