Default Bosch 13111

I understand that instead of getting o2 extensions for my front o2's i can just get the 13111's... is this true? and if so i need somewhere that has them and can get them to me... soon... like as in as close to tomorrow as possible...

any help would be greatly appreciated... thanks

I'd be more inclined to get extensions and run the stock sensors. I have not had good luck with the Bosch 13111.

Take a look at the post by Slowhawk on the last page of this thread:

^^Same thing happened with me. I just put some stock ones in and extensions. I had idle surging and it was running rich on one bank and lean on another. Retarded bosch sensors. They are not as large as the stockers.

Hopefully it's not a waste of your time. I was one of the unlucky ones with the Bosch 13111's.

Yeah im throwing some o2 codes, i think i might try that sounds like a good idea. i do have 60,000 miles on the stock sensors, so maybe i should just replace then.

that procedure was researched by another member, i cant take credit for it...the stock sensor config has 5 or 6 slots, the 13111 only have 3, that's the reasoning for opening the slots, to allow more airflow to the sensing element

interesting about the slots overall most people are running them in stock form with good results.

my stock 02s only had 14k on them and they looked horrible, but I am pretty sure they were working fine, but being over 6 years old, surviving gm top end cleaner and 2 seafoams i didnt want to re use them anyway.

I am having good luck with them so far. If you buy them, get them from NAPA, they are the only place that has a LIFETIME waranty. Change them every year if you want. No questions asked.. Good luck.

I have the "slow response" code (both sides) after installing LT's, the O2's are original and have 87K on them.

I was going to replace them with Bosch 13111's....but after reading about them not working properly, would I be best off just going with the stock Bosch upstream replacements for an F-body??

They are both the same bosch o2 sensors except the one has the long wire. They both kicked on the code for me and the shorter ones were more expensive!
