Anytime you start a "who's better" side by side comparo, you always have diehard believers in one persons product over anothers. It's not usually the companies themselves, but others who get carried away and start a mess. It would be a nice comparo, I agree, but I would be more interested in just seeing a before and after result on the same intake...that is all I'm saying.

Ok Dr J. I hear what you are saying. I wasn't trying to start anything. I like Tony and Ron. Talked to both guys a few times. Enjoyed my conversations with each. I still think it would be cool to do a side by side comparison but without saying who's intake is who's. That would be a totally blind test.

Its more or less a mute point. If the porter is on the right track, even if they arent the best, you are still only talking about 2-3hp at best difference. Not worth worrying about in my book.

Out of curiousity and sense we are on the subject - do the majority of the gains come from just porting the intake in general, or do they come from having the heads there as well and port-matching the intake to the heads?

All this talk and I've still yet to see a dyno of a car with xyz mods with the stock fast 90/90 and then again with the same manifold ported. We have countless posts of back to back dynos from ported throttle bodies, but I can't find any for the fast manifolds.

I'm sorry, if I'm going to plunk down hundreds of dollars that took me two to three times as long to make as it did for someone to port a manifold, then you damn well better have proof that it's worth it. If not, you might as well stand on a corner and sell snake oil.

Do I beleive that there is something to be gained from porting these, maybe, but I don't want to pay that amount of money only to find out that I lost 10 ft/lbs of torque between 2500-4500 rpm only to gain 5 hp at 6300 rpm.

PROVE ME WRONG and I'll give a credit card number.

Fair enough. I searched but didn't see anything. I'll troll through the dyno section and see what's there. The search function has been a little spotty recently so forgive my interest in seeing some results here. I simply was looking for Vengance to post up a dyno graph.
