Default Custom Ram Air!!!

I was taking a little walk through home depot and came across a sheet of metal for $12. Before I came to the store I was looking at the FTRA and thought it was a complete rip off, so when I found this I figured I would give it a try. Well, it is not the prettiest thing, but I lost about 2-3 tenths and gained 3 mph on the quarter.

I only had a dremel with the tiny cutting wheel, so now you know why the cuts are fugly. When your a poor college kid, some you're forced to improvise a little.

I like it, very impressive! Looks almost exactly like FTRA!

That's pretty pimp. I'm going to have to make one of those some time soon. You definetly got really good results from it. That's for sure.

Sweet! I have to start teaching myself to weld next week. Now I'll have something to practice on instead of plain scraps.

that looks just like my FTRA, a bit more sloppy but works the same. I was always worried about the rain with it but I havent had a problem and have been stuck in some bad rain at times. I always checked it after a bad rain and you can see the dried rain spots on the metal to see how high it goes up, but it only gets about half way on mine, if that.

Lost as in the time went down.

Example 12.00 to 11.70 would be a lose of three tenths.

EDIT: Did you just use pop rivets?

The time loss is kind of a guess because my run before this mod was a 13.4@105 with only a diablosport tuner in good weather around 75*. Then I added this ram air and switched my diablosport tuner to a superchips tuner which got me a 12.9@108 in around 65*.

I wanted to weld it but my buddy's welder was down so I stole his pop rivets and it worked out fine.
