Default CME tips Broke!

Well today i started fabbing up my exhaust at work becuase we are dead on saturdays. and i got everything all lined up and i was down to the tips. so the day before i had pulled the stock muffler and tips off as one piece and drove around like that for a night.sounded awsome.

so when i was trying to pull the old cme tips off that i was gonna try to fab up to fit the loudmouth exhaust i dropped it and it snapped. i will get some pictures up i think it may be able to be re welded anyone now what i could do they are aluminum how do you weld aluminum..

Exhaust shop broke mine. You have to find a place that does aluminum welding. Usually a boat shop will do it or know a place that can. cost me 20 bucks but a good deal of time finding a place that did it.

Yeah you can definately get it fixed. It requires special rods to weld aluminum. Make sure that you take it to somewhere that knows what they are doing. It would be an expensive mistake if they messed it up.

Call around 'till you find a place that can tig weld aluminum. Aluminum gutter shops, sheet metal shops, etc. might be able to do it.

That pipe that's banging is hitting the PHR support brace, not the PHR. You can take it out and bang it into shape if you want, or buy an aftermarket PHR support, but they're expensive for basically no help. Lots of drag guys take it off all together.

Plenty of places around your local airport capable of welding aluminum.

I bought mine broken, and spent $60 to have a nice thick bar of aluminum welded in.
