how to get open headers?
how to get open headers? right now I have headers, catted y pipe and a cutout right behind the passenger seat. I'm not sure what type of headers they are because I'm the 3rd owner but the guy before me said he thought the guy told him either slp or flp. I'm wanting to put an off road y pipe onto the headers I have now if it will fit or put duals cutouts before the cats, would I be able to do either of these?
Yes, you will.... the cutouts would be the easiest.. just order the proper size cutouts (Jegs is very cheap) or if you wana electric cutouts Speedinc.com has some good deals as well as many other sponsors. Then you would take your newly aquired cutouts to a muffler shop/ customs shop/ meineke etc. They'll cut out the proper size and weld in your cutouts.
As far as pricing you are looking at:
Manual 2.5"/3" cutouts (25-30$ each) +install price (get a quote).
Electric 2.5"/3" cutouts (140$-170$ each)
To get an ORY you need to find out what LT's you have and then just buy the ORY from one of the sponsors.

Alright, I have never heard of flp headers but I do know SLP. You should probably stick with the SLP ORY. If you want straight open headers than you should just not have a Y-pipe at all.
Also, if you are trying to have the benefits of having open headers without going without the rest of your exhaust system then you can go with True Duals or if you are set on going out the back then a X or ORY. Also, a catback will slow the air as well.
