Default well...the cutout is welded in!

i had a buddy at monro muffler weld it in and it looks perfect. i opened it up and it sounds great..not as loud as i thought. only when you get into the gas peddle does it start barkin. it made me smile! it was put in, in 20 minutes and he charged me 20 bucks...man was i happy. someother schmoo told me a 100!

so then i did the throttle body coolant by-pass after that was done. easy..but i ran the hose over the top of the intake bellows cuz it looked like it was gonna rub on the pump pully. i covered the hose with the stock mesh covering and you cant even see it. took an hour to do it and make it look nice.

tomorrow im goin to lebanon valley dragway to run the 1/4. im still runnin stock tires so im not anticipating anything great. if i hit 13.99999 ill be happy. but im not counting on it. ill post the time slips and results when i get back. too bad my MTI carbon lid wont be here till next week. that surely would help.

WISH ME LUCK FELLAS...i know with stock tires ill be skatin around till the 60' foot mark!

i just cruised it around on the street after a opened the cut out and did the by pass. i cant tell with the by pass being done. my theory is that i wont feel much with stock air lid and such.

i did notice a Difference with the cut out right away. it pulled harder and for some reason.....when the A4 shifts into 2nd at WOT i get a chirp outta the tires now. and i hear it over the louder exhaust! kinda weird ..i dont get it. keep in mind that it is completely OEM. never tuned or nothing other then the 2 mods i did today.

anyone got an explanation for that?
