Default Intake Poll

Hey Guys,

I'm just trying to get a good sense of what everyone is running, I am planning on AFR 205's and a TR 224/224 112lsa...

Also with picking your intake put whether or not you ported....

And how you like it...

Thanks

I like the LS6... why? Because that's all I've owned besides stock LS1 At the very least you should have an LS6 intake IMO if you're doing AFRs and a cam...

You must not have had your 10 bolt blow up yet. But I'm rocking the LS6 intake as well. It does really well with a ported TB and is a pretty good jump over the stock LS1 intake.

As stated, ported & polished TB by Tim (Smokin87TA). Although you can do this at home or have one of the many other sponsors do it.

Got MY TB from this dude:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/removed-locked-thread-graveyard/667799-ported-throttle-body-sale.html

Got the intake used, browse here AND the GTO boards, the '04s came with LS6 manifolds too. It is NOT hard to find a used one... however "stealing" one for a great price is becoming increasingly difficult. I have my stock MAF.

For me, FAST 90/90 gave me major gains over my LS6 intake and ported TB, so, I had to vote for the FAST Combo .... also have the AFR 205 heads and 224/288 cam, so you should see similar gains, as well.

A properly ported FAST 90 is worth 20-25 RWHP over an LS6.....and NO....its not too big on a stock displacement engine. Helped my bone stock shortblock in my C5 lay up 475-480 RWHP with a baby 224 cam and our 205 heads.

If money isnt really the issue and we are purely discussing what will perform the best its not even a contest.

Do some digging around and you will see my ported 90 has consistantly put up 20-25 RWHP over an LS6 and 30 RWHP over an LS1/LS2 baseline. Big money yields big gains which yields big grins....no surprises there.

Call or PM me if you have any questions....

Tony
