Thumbs up Which is the best Longtube for the money?

I am about to get a set of LT's for my trans am and I wanted to hear from people with experience which they preferred. Especially which has the best ground clearance.

pacesetter for mild steel/coated longtubes. hard to beat the horsepower per dollar you get from them.

QTP's are the best value for stainless in terms of horsepower per dollar and finish (i'm surprised they're absent from the poll )

i'm voting for "other" since i don't feel mild steel headers are a good idea. you'll have to replace them in a few years, so once you replace them once, you could have bought stainless to begin with. stainless is a big up-front cost, but they're actually a MUCH better value when you understand they'll be the last headers you'll ever buy. because of this, QTP gets my vote with second place going to American Racing Headers (which are also absent from the poll )

+1. My ceramic coated Pacesetters have been on the car for about 4 years now, and they're beginning to rust considerably around the collectors. No where close to rusting through yet, but not pretty. No complaints about quality, fitment, or power. Great set of headers for the money.

However, next set will be QTP's.

Ya, but you live in NY. Pacesetters don't rust as much in Texas.

Pacesetters are the best bang for buck header out there and they have excellent fitment. I have uncoated ones and they have been in upstate NY and are like 5 years old and they still are in good shape.

If i were you i would get coated ones though.

QTP im waiting on dyno results and come comparison test for the American Racing Headers. Those seem to be top notch as well.

Go with QTP'S. They may cost a little more but are worth every penny. Remember you get what you pay for.

How did you forget the Edelbrocks! 409 for stepped longtubes with high velocity merges? Who cares about welding the collectors on, no big deal.

As far a bang for the buck, I voted Pacesetters. They won't be as durable, and may make a couple less HP than LTs with better collectors, but you asked for the best regarding value. I have QTPs and have no regrets. The only reason I can see that I would buy a different set would be for larger primaries.
