Default How many horse powers should I be making

1999 LS1 with 79k miles. Long tube SLP with ORY (no cats) lid, Texas speed 224/224 cam and tune. Any one have any ideas on what my rear wheel HP should be around. What should I do next?

I made 380rwhp 370rwtq with the TR224/224. A4 would show lower dyno #'s.

i dyno'd 370hp and 390tq with only long tubes no cats slp exhaust and some bolt ons. the best part is that after i switched out the slp catback for a hooker the car feels even faster. i'm going to get it tuned and dyno it again

A set of heads yet to be decided on are next along with a ported tb. I expect to be around 450rwhp and probably need bigger injectors too. Even if I went FAST 90/90 I wouldn't get to 500rwhp without the spray. I bet 500rwhp naturally aspirated LS1s are very few and far between. Pretty sure a naturally aspirated 224 won't get you there either.

I made 365 with that cam, all bolt on's. I was hoping for more, but the curve was pretty good.

N/A run - 365 HP 362 TQ

I just added an LS6 MAF and in the process of tuning it...maybe I will pick up another 10 (Maybe).

I find this VERY hard to believe with a stock cam, especially the RWTQ number.

not on stock internals you didnt. sorry but the dyno lied. the most ive ever seen out of a full bolt on car was 360 at the wheels.

Was he talking about rwhp? or hp at the flywheel? A dyno local to me calculates the drivetrain losses and give you HP at the flywheel, not sure how it does it, but perhaps this is there these figures came from.

if you have bought the headers yet I would suggest coated pacesetter longtubes with a magnaflow exhaust, save money for other mods, also slps have very low ground clearence if that makes a difference to you

I got it dyno'd at Harris Speed works. If the dyno was wrong that means everyones car that day was wrong. they said my car might have a Z06 cam in it that maybe i dont know about

Seems like a ported TB and an LS6 intake would be logical next purchases.
