Im sorry but im agaisnt "nos" in every way possible. if im gonna drop 6 or 700 bucks the stuff better be working ALL the time, not jsut when I hit a button and lasts for seconds at a time. I know nitrous doesnt tear **** up as bad as it used to be I still say its very hard on the motor and especially a transmission. im jsut not a fan of it and will never use it.

If he wants to do a cam then yes def, a nice mod to do but thats a lot of work and money hes gonna be doing for it.
Looks like you dont know very much about nitrous. Most people dont like what they dont understand.

I will never put n2o on a car again. Too much time and effort and I hated filling the bottle all the time.

i have spent only 1400 and only need a BOV and tune....and my kit will make more than the base STS kit....DYI kits run 1/3 the price as long as you have welding skills and taking time to order parts.

he could easy with less than 2k make 430-450 rwhp DYI turbo..

it's not an accepted industry term it's a term used by ricers and Call it n2o is you want but it's not "nos" NOS is a brand name. Call it nitrous, giggle juice, juice, happy gas, if you want

what power add are you going to get for 6-700 bucks? bolt-on's and cams and gears arent power adds. Turbos, and s/c and n2o are and n2o is by far the cheapest. Install it correctly and it works all the time for you.

You've obviously never rolled much. Roll races dont last longer than a few seconds and the winner is known. You either pull them or they pull you or its dead even. No one win's by a quarter panel on a roll race. So n2o is a great choice here for the money.

A used cam is a good way to go and then you just need springs if your trying to save money.
Not sure how you match a cam to a stall, strictly and m6 guy, but with a tr224 112 lsa cam you would only need comp 918's and be done with it relatively cheaply. It would give the extra punch and then you could add n2o when the cam isnt enough. OR just add n2o right now.

I filmed this race from 40-160 they were within a fender of each other. One of the closest races I've ever seen

A couple posts ago it was only $1300. Get it finished and include everything in your price breakdown. Fuel system, coating, whate ever you sopent to make it work and then post it with your hp results so we can compare hp to $ ratio legitimately. lets see it first, a pile of parts isnt a result.

nice race! I'd have to call that even. You cant say anyone pulled anyone there.

I rolled a vette the other day, it was over in seconds. 60-120+ walked all over the vette but it wasnt saying much. Think it was an lt1 anniversary something or other. I've had them last more than a few seconds but those are few and far between. Usually 10 seconds is the longest it takes. If your even after that then its over in my mind. There is a limit. If your even and no ones pulling then I dont see a need to keep going.

6-spd swap. As soon as you start putting some power through your auto its gonna be time for a rebuild anyway, so you might as well trade with someone while your tranny still works....

nitrous was something that seems like a very good idea but i would really hate the fact that i wouldnt have the power all the time. i would also hate filling bottles constantly, thats gotta add up.

If you want to go the n/a route like me I would go with a cam and a good tune and you should be good for a little while but I know I always want to go faster...

All I need to do is press a button on the boost controller and another 100 horsepower to the rear wheels. The 600 is with cutout closed and motor not even broken in yet and only @ 6000 rpms. If we were to take it to 6500 it would probibly put down 650 rwhp which is no joke. If I want more than 700 rwhp all I need to do is throw in a mix of 91 and 110 race gas and crank it up even higher boost and she should be able to put down 850 rwhp. My whole setup is built for 850 rwhp. I just turn it down to 600 for daily driving
