Im sorry but im agaisnt "nos" in every way possible. if im gonna drop 6 or 700 bucks the stuff better be working ALL the time, not jsut when I hit a button and lasts for seconds at a time. I know nitrous doesnt tear **** up as bad as it used to be I still say its very hard on the motor and especially a transmission. im jsut not a fan of it and will never use it.

If he wants to do a cam then yes def, a nice mod to do but thats a lot of work and money hes gonna be doing for it.

If you want an equally simple and short term, use n2o, people who say 'nos' will always get a few sidelong glances and be though of as noobs who watch too much:

My votes are for a strong drivetrain, a well built tranny(with a big cooler), slightly internal modded engine, and a well laid out turbo setup. And brakes =)

oh good lord. ok n2o is that better my little correct buddies?

either way you cut it im not a fan of it. its not in effect all the time and its just like the old saying goes "Its like a hot girl with AIDS, you wanna hit it, but you know what can happen"

its ahrd on everything just about it, and its still enver in effect "all the time" its still going to last seconds, not minutes or anything so im just 100% against it. yall can run it, and ahve fu with it but its not something id ever invest in.

id say go with a good cam set up for the cash if he wants to dig into the motor like that.

Also if youre gonna be spinning high id say lookin into some good rod bolts!

Less than 2k is a good price for a turbo, don't get me wrong.

But 430rwhp-450rwhp aint **** for FI.

Im making more than that with my H/C setup, and the best part is that I dont have to worry about any turbo to spool up or a nitrous bottle to run out.

If you spend the money to go FI, you better be making at least 550rwhp.

I suggest a nice heads and cam setup.

Here's one that no one mentioned... how much money do you have to spend on the car? What are you looking to do with the car? Is it a DD?

Are you racing at really high speeds? If so, change your rear gears to 2.73's so you aren't coming close to running out of third gear

you dont even know what its called, yet youre going to advocate people not using it?

learn something about it before you voice an opinion on it

well it is my dd, and right now i dont have too much money to play with but eventually i will. i was thinking about getting a ported tb, and an ls6 intake before i invested in a cam. and i didnt really think it was worth changing out my gears, have 3:23 now.

Some of you guys in here have pretty much summed it up:

1. Radar detector
2. Big brakes
3. 6 Speed
4. Good tires

For you guys out there that race on the highways, prove me wrong that these aren't the essentials to high speed racing.
