Default Another gutted cat question

I've heard it mentioned quite a bit. How do you gut the cats, from start to finish? Is this mod something I can easily do on my own ,or should I consider finding a shop to do it? How do you remove the cats to gut them? How long does this normally take? Anyone know how well it sounds with Borla? My car is a 1998 Z28 a4.

You have to unbolt them from the manifolds, and then need to remove all the cat material on the inside, I'm not sure if there are exact instructions on how to do it...I just went straight to an off road setup...

The sound would all depend on what plate you have on the borla..

The pulses resonate in within the cats and create rasp (not too much, just at WOT).
Sounds kinda cool though, not a totally unwelcome sound.

You just take a pipe or long screwdriver and knock all of the material out of it, then blow it out with an aircompressor.
