Lou98SS

On my 98 LS1, I have MAC headers and a MAC cat y-pipe now with just a Dynomax Bullet muffler. Sounds great right now but I tried a MAC ORP (no cats) and it sounds horrendous with no cats and just the Bullet muffler (maybe similar to how it would sound if I had a Loudmouth set up with the MAC headers and no cats). The rasp it has around 2500-3000 rpm is just unbearable.

So...what muffler do you guys recommend if I want to run MAC headers and no cats. Looking for best sound, no rasp, and best power. My thoughts were Dynomax Ultraflow, Magnaflow, Hooker Aerochamber, or possibly Spintech.

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

SLP Dual/Dual,Hooker,or Magnaflow usually cure rasp. I had Jet-Hot LT's/ORY/LM and had significant rasp . I got a great opportunity to go with true duals, and have had no more rasp issues.
