Edelbrock headers and y-pipe
BigKap, will the y-pipe fit with the stock cat-back?
I was going to go with the Pace-setters and their y-pipe, but my friend turned me into this direction, and from the comments, I may be going with this combo as long as it fits into the stock cat-back.
A guy I know installed this setup on his car. With stock ride height he got about 3" of ground clearance on the drivers side. Some seem to get more. Perhaps it comes down to how much time you spend trying to fit it. I am thinking of the same system but I am a little worried about the ground clearance. Try a search on this forum, you might be able to find a photo.

As for the Y-pipe clearance issues, i fail to see how anyone could even get near that poor clearance. I could tuck my Y-pipe higher to the body, by another 3/4" but I would rather sacrifice a slight amount of clearance for y-pipe/body interference. My Y-pipe clears with almost 6" of clearance from the ground, and could tucked to almost 7" pretty easily. Also for what its worth, I would use the prefer the Edelbrock items even if ground clearance was sacrificed, the Pacesetter Y pipe is a piece of crap, flat spots, Y pipe/body clearance issues and **** poor merge make it an easy choice for me.

Still, I have to adjust my y---can get 3-3-1/2" probably.
And yes the Y pipe is actually almost 3.25" and then after it merges it reduces down to 3".
